First Trailer for ‘Gravity’ Teases Two Hours of Sandra Bullock Screaming in Space

The director of A Little Princess, and the stars of Love Potion No. 9 and Return of the Killer Tomatoes join forces for one of the year’s most anticipated films.

Strap yourself in, and take a look at the first teaser for Alfonso Cuarón‘s Gravity.

It certainly does look fantastic, but that should surprise no one as Cuarón’s Children of Men was a visual stunner. The question remains though as to how engaging of a film it can be with only two actors who spend nearly the entire run-time apart. Gravity opens October 4th, 2013.

Uhm. Yeah, this is why we need something more maneuverable than rockets and the shuttle. *shudder*

This was sticking with me today. Reminds me of a scene from Cherryh’s ‘Cuckoo’s Egg’ where one space ship is damaged in battle and cannot escape the gravity well of a sun or planet. The folks on board calmly prepare for their death a day or so into the future. Good book, the focus is on the psychological but it has plenty of action. References to samurai culture.
