In 2011, the Sci-Fi Fantasy Outpost raised nearly $5,000 for three charities—Equality Now, Kids Need to Read, and the Tahirih Justice Center—as part of our sixth annual charity event, Can’t Stop the Serenity – Washington, D.C.

We sold out both our main show on Sat., June 25, 2011 (285 attendees) and our condensed show on Fri., June 24 (285 attendees). We also collected and donated several boxes of goods to two other charities: So Others Might Eat and Homeward Trails Animal Rescue.

We extend a heartfelt thanks to all the event organizers, volunteers, and attendees for making the event such a success. We are especially grateful to our sponsors, who donated all manner of goods and services for our raffle and silent auction.

Finally, a very special thanks to singer/songwriter Marian Call for donating her time and talent to our event.
